Jennifer Kennedy is a writer from the North West. Her short fiction has appeared in The Sirens Call eZine, The Drabble, Another North, The Cabinet of Heed and the National Flash Fiction Day anthology, among others. She is currently working on editing her gothic novel while planning the next, and is thrilled to be represented by Hannah Sheppard at DHH Literary Agency.
Jennifer grew up, and still lives, in Liverpool.
Her voracious reading habits started at a very young age and books have always featured in her life. It was no surprise that she studied English Literature at Manchester University and later became an English teacher.
When she was young she thought authors were mythical creatures that lived in castles in the sky. Because of this she never dreamed she could write creatively herself until the grand age of thirty-seven. Once she got started she couldn’t stop. As a lover of horror, the magical, and all things gothic, almost everything she wrote explored the shadowy side of life. She lives with her small house with her young son and their extremely black cat. When she isn’t writing at her desk under the stairs, she is either teaching, reading tarot, or watching zombie movies.
